NY-based multimedia and event production company, Healthegy recently announced the launch of the inaugural Aesthetics Innovation Summit (AIS)  to take place on April 25 at the New York Marriott Marquis – immediately prior to the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS) Annual Meeting.

AIS is uniting the key constituents driving innovations – aesthetic start-ups and emerging growth companies, investors, world-class physicians, and industry leaders – to feature novel technologies and procedures to drive and meet growing market demands. “This mix of topics and speakers is unique to the aesthetics industry,” explains Mark Foley, MD, who is a Co-Chairman of AIS and the former CEO of ZELTIQ Aesthetics, which was sold to Allergan for $2.48 billion last year. “What we’ll gain at this summit is a better understanding around how consumers are engaging in aesthetics, how providers create awareness and visibility, and how everyone in the industry makes decisions,” says Dr. Foley. “Providers are looking to understand how to do a better job of driving consumer awareness to their procedures and into their practices. Investors are trying to figure out where they should put dollars to capture market share. Both physicians and vendors are very interested in understanding these trends to ensure they are well positioned to take advantage of them.”

In addition to a showcase of rapid-fire company presentations on aesthetics innovations, there will be panel discussions on:

  • What It Takes to Have a Winning Product
  • Capitalizing on Consumer/Practice Trends and the Impact of Digital Health on Aesthetics
  • The Latest in Minimally Invasive Rejuvenation
  • Key Drivers of the Skin Care Revolution
  • Hot Trends in Women’s Health
  • Which Products Will Dominate the Toxins and Fillers Marketplace
  • Investing in the Future of Health and Beauty

Confirmed keynote speakers include Sandi Peterson, Group Worldwide Chair, Johnson & Johnson, and Brent Saunders, CEO of Allergan, who will deliver their views of the market and how their companies are positioned to capitalize on new technologies that are transforming the aesthetics industry.

“Attending AIS is crucial for every cross-section of the industry,” explains Dr. Foley. “Established companies are going to want to be at this inaugural summit so they can share knowledge and network with the top physicians. Emerging companies want to come for networking and gaining access to potential partners and investments. Investors want to come to hear what is on the horizon – driving disruption in the marketplace.”
